Week3- Articulation

1) My argument

I want to argue that people who are more beautiful and handsome have more advantages. We otten deny that the physical beauty only lasts shortely. Also there are many people who claims that lookism should be suppressed without any reasons. I want to emphasize people just deny this kind of inferiority feeling and we should acknowledge my opinion.
 

2) How I found my argument

My first research question was, "Why all people like those who are more handsome and beautiful?" It seems normal that almost everyone agree but there would be few people who know the reason accurately. As the lookism starts to become prevale, people also have various opinions about this topic. This article helped me to find the information. As I continued researching, it seemed obvious the people who are more beautiful and handsome have more advantages. Then I started to consider opposite perspective such as "Is it the fact or belief?", "Is it really proven?" Articles like this one helped me quantify this question. Actually I also afraid my opinion because it can cause side after-effects but I could realize it is a fresh and interesting argument that brings a new perspective toward people.
 

3) New research questions

I have several questions that need to be resolved.

a) What factors could be the reason for my opinion?

b) Is there any scientifically proven reasons not only phychological one?

c) How could I refute counterarguments?

I'll continue browsing the internet and looking for interesting articles and keeping track of my research with blog posts.

4) Connections to the Harvard Sampler

It is obvious that my opinion is directly related to the human mind. As there was a survey which people prefer the most beautiful or handsome people in Harvard Sampler, my argument also dealt with the appearance and the minds following this topic.
